LMS 5

LMS Software forms the heart of our solutions for pathology laboratories. Optimal support of work processes starts with the availability of an optimally suited ICT system. For pathology, this is LMS 5. LMS 5 builds on the proven LMS Pathology solution, is fully integrated (also in combination with digital pathology) and supports all key aspects of pathology work processes.

This product is very flexible due to its up-to-date knowledge of the many different practical situations, making it possible to configure all conceivable work processes in LMS 5. The workflow logic ensures that mix-ups are impossible during work processes by using uniquely identifying labels for all the different components of a submittal and by on-demand printing. In the grossing room, the employee can control all peripheral equipment needed on-site, hands-free; the photos or voice recordings appear automatically in LMS 5. By using barcodes, the grossing process can be performed hands-free.

The transport module is used to send samples between locations according to the ISO 15189 requirements. This module can handle all correspondence for the secretariat so that nothing is left unnoticed.

Next gen distribution module

The next generation distribution module distributes the workload of the pathologists in a balanced way across the team. This takes into account the availability of pathologists, specializations, part-time work, etc. In addition to the distribution of the daily amount of work, scheduling is an important theme and it is also possible to look back at the distribution of work over the past period.

Molecular Diagnostics Module (MDM)

The Molecular Diagnostics Module is very innovative and presents the course of the work on a timeline so that it is immediately clear in which phase the research is and whether there are any special features. The module supports the molecular diagnostics workflow. It provides insight into the progress of investigations, monitors the process and supports the user in recording any deviations.

Management information Module (MiM)

The management information module builds on functionality of the well-known Pathlab. It offers very extensive functionality for monitoring laboratory processes and for preparing management reports.

Dashboard for the pathologist

The Pathologist Cockpit provides the pathologist with a quick overview of the assigned diagnostics. With insight into the workload and priority of the diagnostics, the pathologist is completely in control of his own work process.

With the implementation model Turn Key & Go! the laboratory is fully supported in the entire implementation process, from preparation to production of the new system.

The complexity in the system to be delivered is reduced by working with a standardized LMS setup. This concerns both the LMS Software and the links with third party systems. LMS Software is set up according to a best practice configuration. It is based on Deutsche Telekom Healthcare’s many years of experience in pathology. It fits in perfectly with the way most pathology labs run their processes. Links are delivered according to standard content. Our principle: standardization where possible, customization where necessary.

With the Turn Key & Go! model, we guarantee that the project will be delivered within the agreed tolerances.

    Plug & Connect is an implementation and management model in which the laboratory itself takes charge of the technical and functional application management. Plug & Connect is offered by many labs as an alternative to the more traditional approach to implementations and management such as Turn Key & Go!

    The essence of Plug & Connect is standardization and maximum control by you as a pathology laboratory. To significantly reduce costs, this requires standardization of both the laboratory workflow processes and the LMS 5 setup. LMS Software is set up according to a best practice configuration, based on Deutsche Telekom Healthcare’s many years of experience in pathology. It fits in perfectly with the way most pathology labs run their processes.

    In addition to the standard configuration for the laboratory’s work processes, the basic LMS 5 system is fully equipped upon delivery to maintain many connections, including HL7 connections to central Hospital Information Systems. Links are delivered according to standard content.

    The starting point for Customer Care Basic is that you carry out the management tasks yourself. As a pathology laboratory, you can call on the Customer Care Center for incidents caused by Deutsche Telekom Healthcare products. With Customer Care Basic you get all new software versions of LMS Software at your disposal at no extra cost. The starting point is  that you implement the new versions yourself. For other questions or forms of desired support, the Customer Care Center is available on the basis of hourly rate / subsequent calculation.

    Engagement Hub from Deutsche Telekom Healthcare is a communication platform that enables pathology labs using LMS Software to support any form of national or international collaboration with nationwide coverage. This solution therefore gives you access to almost 100% of the pathology labs. Of course, provided they are also connected to Engagement Hub.

    Engagement Hub ensures that the workflows between the labs fit together seamlessly. A direct connection to the LMS is used for this, resulting in a maximally optimized workflow between the laboratories without additional registration burden for the secretariat.
